Man charged over woman's death in Dundee

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman following a fire at a Dundee flat.

The 37-year-old woman was found in the property in Byron Street after the alarm was raised at about 07:25 on Friday.

Following a post-mortem examination, the woman's death is being treated as murder and her family is being supported by specially trained officers.

The 26-year-old man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
